The Treasury Wedding Venue in Metro Detroit

As a Detroit wedding photographer, The Treasury in Pontiac, Michigan is one of my favorite wedding venues in Metro Detroit! It’s an historic building with SO many unique features. This venue allows you to capture unique moments and images for your wedding day. From the details in the ceiling to the vault in the basement, you will never run out of details to capture and things to explore!

In this post, I’m sharing some of my favorite features of this Metro Detroit wedding venue and some of my favorite shots from working there. This is one of my all-time favorite locations, and I recommend it to any bride searching for a unique wedding venues in Michigan!

Wedding Photography at The Treasury

I love working with both brides and grooms. Bridal portraits are definitely some of my favorites to capture here at the Treasury. This Metro Detroit wedding venue has a beautiful bridal suite that overlooks downtown Pontiac. The large windows make it a great place for taking bridal photos with natural light.

Maybe this is just my opinion, but I believe it’s important to give the bride her moment. You’ve spent so much time planning and picking out every detail, so why not take time to capture it all? I like to take some solos of the bride and pump her up for the big day! Take time to have fun and feel like a princess!

When photographing brides, I want to capture every details, from the dress to the shoes and the hair. I like to show off the wedding dress with movement as well. Your wedding the day you’ve been waiting for, so let’s have fun and document it!

The Vault

The Treasury’s iconic vault is probably the most photographed place in the building. It used to be a working vault when the bank was still active. It’s fairly large, so you have some room to move around and try different poses. This is a great spot for more editorial style posing. The reflective metal of the boxes adds drama and can give a unique photo you can’t wait to display!

I am a photographer who likes working with flash, so you’ll see me using extra lights in these photos. This helps bring out the details of not only the venue, but the bride’s dress. The light bounces off all the metal and around the vault. The flash adds to the classic feel of photos, which I think matches the theme of the venue so much!
