The Ultimate Guide to Metro Detroit Wedding Venues

If you’re on the hunt for Metro Detroit wedding venues, you’re in the right place! As a 2023 bride and Detroit area wedding photographer, I know how overwhelming wedding planning can be. My mission is to make wedding planning easier for you so you can focus more on the fun stuff, like cake tastings and trying on wedding dresses!

In this ultimate wedding venue guide, we’ve highlighted some of our favorite wedding venues in Metro Detroit. We’ve organized venues by type and by county to help you find what you’re looking for!

All Inclusive Vs. Wedding Venues

It’s important to highlight the two main types of wedding venues: all-inclusive or a la carte. All-inclusive wedding venues typically include all the major things you need on a wedding day, like tables, linens, chairs, food, etc. A la carte or DIY wedding venues provide just the space, so you choose your own vendors for everything, from linens to entrees. Figuring out if you want an all-inclusive wedding venue or not is a great place to start!

Most venues on this list are all-inclusive, but you can learn more about them by visiting their sites or inquiring for packages. Personally, I am a huge fan of all-inclusive venues just to keep things simple. But, if you want special touches and really want to taste-test your food, definitely consider a la carte options!

You can view our top list of all-inclusive venues in Oakland County here.

In this wedding venue guide, we are going to break down venues by counties as well as by style. Looking for an estate style wedding venue? Keep scrolling!  Want a country theme with a barn wedding venue? We’ve got you covered!

Different Types of Wedding Venues

Your wedding venue will create the overall vibe of your wedding. It also has the largest role in determining the style of your wedding photos. Whether you’re looking for something industrial or classic, historical or modern, we’ve got venues for you! We’ve organized this venue list by location and styles of venue.

Here’s a quick table of context of what you’ll find in this guide. Use the links to jump to the section that fits what you’re looking for!
