When is the best time to take maternity and newborn photos?
For maternity photos, it's best to plan for around the 7th-8th month of pregnancy. You don't want to push the date too close to your due date in case your baby comes early, but you want to ensure your bump is almost at its peak. After your first trimester, it's wise to find a photographer and book your session to reserve your spot on the calendar!
I recommend scheduling newborn photos within the first two weeks of delivery for ideal sleepiness and freshness. However, be sure to schedule for a time that is best for your family. When selecting a time for photos, plan around your baby's eating and nap schedule so your baby can be comfortable, full, and sleepy.

Looking for maternity photos as well as a newborn session? I've got you covered! You will receive a 30 minute maternity session and a one hour in-home or in-studio newborn session. With both sessions you will receive all the best photos from your sessions, professionally edited, via digital gallery. I'll help you plan and prepare for both sessions so they go smoothly!
Studio newborn photography takes place in Royal Oak and adds an additional $75 for studio rent and props.
If you're just wanting some maternity pictures around Metro Detroit, I've got you covered. With a 30-minute session, you can expect around 30 images that show of your beautiful bump and show the love between you, your partner and your baby. Half hour sessions are great for couples looking for simple photos with no outfit changes and one location. If you are looking for multiple outfits or locations, or including other children, you may want to consider an hour shoot to guarantee all your images!
Are you a mama looking to get a variety of maternity photos in the Detroit area? Then this one hour package may be for you! A one hour package is perfect for the parents or individual who is looking for at least one outfit change and up to two locations. This is also a great option for families, as it gives children some time to warm up to the camera or get in just the right posts for those Kodak moments to frame in your family home!

In- Home Newborn Session
A1-hour newborn session. This is the perfect amount of time to take some family photos and individual newborn photos while also allowing you to take breaks to feed, change and comfort your baby as needed. For a one hour session, you will receive 60 minutes of session time as well as a complete digital gallery & access to the print store with no photo limit.
When it comes to newborn sessions, I am flexible on dates so I can make sure to be there when your family is comfortable and baby is still fresh! I understand due dates are not always accurate, so I will stay in communication with you to ensure I make it to your home for photos when it's perfect for you!
Studio
Newborn Session
A1-hour newborn session in an Oakland County studio. This is the perfect option if you don't want to worry about straightening up your home for photos. The studio has multiple rooms and comes with a variety of props to use during the session. For a one hour session, you will receive 60 minutes of session time as well as a complete digital gallery & access to the print store with no photo limit.
When it comes to newborn sessions, I am flexible on dates so I can make sure to be there when your family is comfortable and baby is still fresh!
