I recently had the honor to work with Will & Makayla to capture their beautiful relationship with engagement photos in Downtown Detroit. Our two-hour shoot took place at both the Fisher Building and the Detroit Institute of Arts. This post is focusing on the first half of our session, which may. have been my favorite part!

Stepping into the Fisher Building is like stepping back in time. Its stunning Art Deco design and intricate details transport you to a glamorous era gone by. The timeless elegance of the building creates a romantic atmosphere that is ideal for capturing beautiful and heartfelt moments between you and your partner.

Makayla and Will came dressed for the shoot. They wore classic attire that matched the scene of their photos perfectly. I do believe what you choose to wear to your session can make or break your photos! The shimmery sleeves of Makayla’s dress added so much texture and visual interest to these photos, especially when I used the flash on my camera, and I think it adds that little pop in the photos that sets them apart!
