Our team recently photographed a beautiful wedding at Saint John’s Resort in Plymouth, Michigan. Samira and Andrew said “I do” in the newly-built garden pavilion. Getting Ready Wedding Photos

Samira and Andrew mixed their two cultures for their wedding day. Our photography team arrived in the morning at the tail end of getting ready for their ceremony. We used this time for some detail shots and a few portraits.

Just before the ceremony, we photographed the first of two first looks for the couple. One of our favorite parts of Saint John’s resort is the beautiful courtyard that’s great for photography in all seasons! We used this for some first look photos as well as a few family photos before the ceremony.

Wedding Ceremony at Saint John’s Resort

Saint John’s resort has multiple spaces for ceremonies. Because of this, there may be multiple weddings at the same time at the resort. Samira and Andrew got married in the all-glass garden pavilion. They had it beautifully decorated by Utsav Planners. They even had chai tea brought in for their guests to sip during their ceremony!

We love that the garden pavilion offers a modern, luxury wedding venue vibe while being easily accessible. The grand ballroom is close by, so guests can easily walk from the ceremony space to the cocktail hour after the ceremony.

Bride and Groom Photos at Saint John’s Resort

After their wedding ceremony, Samira and Andrew changed out of their traditional Indian attire into a second outfit. We took a second set of getting ready photos, and the couple had a second first look. This was such a special moment for these two! 

During cocktail hour, we utilized the venue for some bride and groom portraits before the start of the reception in the grand ballroom.

Wedding Reception at Saint John’s Resort

Utsav Planners did an amazing job decorating the grand ballroom for Samira & Andrew’s wedding reception! We absolutely loved all of the colors and decor. Upon the grand entrance, the bride and groom cut their cake and began toasts to kick off the party.

After dinner, we photographed all the special dances with family. This is one of my favorite parts of the reception! We love capturing the emotion of this time.
