The War Memorial, Grosse Pointe

The Grosse Pointe War Memorial is a timeless waterfront venue overlooking Lake St. Clair. It’s elegant, peaceful, and perfect for couples who want a classic wedding without feeling overdone.

An estimated cost ranges from $1,000–$2,000 for a wedding reception venue rental (depending on season and space) which includes 6 hours of event time, set up, and clean-up. Additionally, there is a $1,000 set up fee for a ceremony.

This venue offers beautiful outdoor ceremony options and bright indoor reception rooms, making it ideal for spring through fall weddings.

State Savings Bank, Detroit

State Savings Bank is a restored historic bank building in downtown Detroit. With tall ceilings, marble details, and dramatic architecture, it’s one of the most unique Metro Detroit wedding venues.

The venue ranges from $56,000-$64,000 which include venue rental, beverage package, staffing, catering and is based on 250 guests. 

This venue is perfect for couples who love urban elegance and bold, editorial-style wedding photos.

Book Tower, Detroit

Book tower is another iconic building in Downtown Detroit. If you like white marble and also the glass conservatory look, this is the perfect venue for you. Book Tower dates back to the 1920’s and is located in the heart of downtown Detroit.

One of the most unique features of Book Tower is that your guests can also stay in the hotel. There’s bars and restaurants in the building, too, so your guests can have a weekend experience without having to drive anywhere!

Book Tower’s hotel rooms are set up like apartments, which makes it a great place for getting ready. It’s also a great location to take wedding photos outside to show off Detroit’s architecture.

Grosse Pointe Yacht Club

The Grosse Pointe Yacht Club combines waterfront views with a refined, nautical feel. It’s a favorite among couples planning formal summer weddings.

The rental price for this venue starts at $15,000 for up to 250 seated guests. This venue offers various settings for weddings, including outdoor ceremonies and indoor receptions, and can accommodate up to 300 guests. Sunset photos along the water are a major highlight here.

Lovett Hall, Dearborn (Henry Ford Museum)

Lovett Hall is one of the most iconic Metro Detroit wedding venues. With grand staircases, tall ceilings, and historic charm, it’s truly breathtaking.

Prices may vary depending on the season. The facility fee starts at $12,000 for off-peak dates and $15,000 for peak dates.

Detroit Opera House, Detroit

For a dramatic and luxurious wedding, the Detroit Opera House delivers. The ornate details and historic beauty create an unforgettable setting. The rooftop is one of our favorite features of the Opera House! In the summer, you can host your cocktail hour and dances on the roof surrounded by Detroit’s buildings. According to their website, all-inclusive packages range from $34,000-$90,000, depending on season, day of the week, time of day, and guest count size. 

It’s a great option for couples who want a rustic feel without sacrificing elegance.

Planterra Conservatory, West Bloomfield

Planterra Conservatory feels like stepping into a secret garden year-round. Natural light, greenery, and a glass ceiling make it incredibly romantic.

Estimated full price according to their site is Spring/Fall: $48,000-$95,000, January/February: $27,000-$80,000.

It’s one of the most popular Metro Detroit wedding venues for couples who love nature-inspired elegance.

The Colony Club, Detroit

Located in the heart of downtown, the Colony Club blends old-world charm with city sophistication. Its tall ceilings and dramatic grand ballroom make it a standout among Metro Detroit wedding venues. The Venue does have two ballrooms and two lounges for cocktail hours.

This beautiful venue typically ranges from $12,000-$34,000, depending on the day of the week and space reserved. This minimum cost includes the rental fee, food and beverage, tax, service charge and can accommodate up to 350 seated guests. 

This venue photographs beautifully, especially with soft lighting and formal décor. If you want to give your guests a full experience, this is an amazing location.

Detroit Athletic Club

The Detroit Athletic Club offers classic luxury and old-world charm. From the grand ballroom to the historic interiors, it’s perfect for formal weddings.

The starting price is $5,000 which includes basic access to the venue, and additional expenses will depend on the number of guests, menu, and services chosen. 

This venue shines for evening weddings with a timeless, upscale feel.

Michigan Central Station

Michigan Central Station is bold, dramatic, and unlike any other venue in the area. This historical, Detroit icon was recently renovated and has begun hosting weddings! If you want your wedding venue to truly say “Detroit,” this is your place!

The rental cost can vary based on size and scope of a wedding. Renting the entire main floor can cost around $65,000 before considering catering, decor and other vendors and can accommodate anywhere from 100-2,000 guests, with options for grand halls, intimate rooms, and outdoor terraces. 

If you want plenty of space for a lot of guest, this is a great venue for you. This space is best for large, statement weddings with a modern, editorial style.

Detroit Yacht Club

Located on Belle Isle, the Detroit Yacht Club offers stunning river views and historic character.

The starting price is approximately $8,000 for the venue rental. Couples are spending around $22,000 for a full wedding celebration which includes catering, bar services and other factors. 

The combination of water, skyline, and classic architecture makes it a photographer favorite. This venue is especially magical in the evening when the city lights reflect on the water. 

Eagle Crest, Ypsilanti

Eagle Crest is a classic golf resort venue with beautiful outdoor views and flexible indoor spaces.

Wedding packages start around $20,000 and offer various event spaces, including 9,880 square-foot Roy Wilbanks Ballroom and the 4,800 square-foot Garden Marquee.
